Hey, Karstdiver!
I spent the afternoon eating all kinda good stuff, probly put on another 10 lbs or so,thought I couldn't eat anything else---then I see the pic of the turk you did & I'm hungery again! If it tastes 1/2 as good as it looks, you got a winner! ;)

It was mentioned that we should do two turkeys on the grill next year!
We did do another 13.5 kosker turkey (same kind as was grilled) with traditional bread stuffing in a bag in the oven. We served both at the same time.
The grilled skin was darker and much more crispier than the oven roasted one.
In my opinion both meats were faverful, moist, and tender but rack roasting on the grill is fun and easy.
Next year might be brined fresh heritage turkeys instead of a kosher or frozen self-basting I if think about ordering early enough.

It sounds like I went well. I really love grilled turkey!

After trying the brine thingy this year, I'm pretty sure that I will never again cook an un-brined bird if I can help it! The moistness, tenderness & flavor of the brined & injected turk was better than I thought possible.
