I didn't want to do it, but it looks like I have to now because of the spammers.

I have now enabled the image verification and email verification security features of the forum software. I've had to delete too many spam threads and ban too many fake users lately.

I still encourage new REAL users to register and participate in the forum. Sorry for making you jump through a few extra hoops to do so.

I've got no problem with that, especially after a couple of the posts in the past few days. If I want those kind of links, then I'm sure I can find them elswhere, we don't need them here.
Do whatever it takes to keep that junk out, Sharky, most of us will give you a big "Thank You".

It definitely slowed it down. We were getting on average a couple a day, now it seems like there are only one or two a week.

The ones we are getting are from acconuts that were created a while ago. So far I have deleted about 75 false accounts.. and there are still more...

I guess that some folks will try anything to score a dollar or two; myself, I'd rather get 'hot' with my smoker :D . Dave
