Update on the pergola/patio/grill area :)

Hey, Starsfan,
That is GREAT. Looks like you & the boss lady spent a lot of time on the lay out before starting the project, always a good idea. Too many times there ain't enough time to do it right, but there's always time to do it over. One question; are those saddles held down with Tap-Cons, Kwik-Bolts, or did you put anchors (j-bolts) in when you poured the mud?
In any case, it looks great & I'm jealous! :D :D

We put in J-bolts along with two eye-bolts to secure the grill at the time of the cement pour. It was easier than digging holes for the 4x4s.

Funny story on the whole layout thing. We were looking on google for ideas and plans and the search criteria was "Patio Covers" and "Patio Awnings", but not getting anything close to what we were looking for. But while looking at some of the results, a word "Pergola" came up. Neither one of us had ever heard of this, however, as soon as we used Pergola.....SHAZZAM, everything we wanted came up :)
