Hey all, just wondering what your favorite steak seasoning is. I've tried many different spices, but I've found my favorite to be McCormick's Montreal steak seasoning. Anybody got anyhting better? Oh, also, just to throw this in. The other day, I was grilling some sirloins. I had some crumbled blue cheese in the 'fridge. Being a fan of blue cheese, I decided to cut a pocket in one of the steaks and stuff it with the crumbled cheese. Then I wrapped it in bacon to keep the pocket sealed shut. I was impressed, it really turned out tasty. :)

I just use some of my wife's creole seasoning and or some black pepper.

I have a ton of different seasonings.

I don't really have a favorite.

The classic salt pepper and onion flakes have always made me happy though:-)

I got some steak seasoning from www.TexasBBQRub.com that was very good. They sell it for $3.95 for a 5 oz shaker and they pay the shipping. It's called Texas Grilling Magic. Their BBQ rub is pretty good too.

If you like it a little spicier, High Mountain Jerky (www.himtnjerky.com) has a line of seasonings called Western Sizzle. Last week I ordered some bacon cure from them and they sent me a complementary shaker of their Cajun Cowboy seasoning. Very tasty.

I usually rub the steaks with olive oil and then sprinkle salt, pepper, onion powder & garlic powder. Sometimes we use Lawry's seasoning salt but not often.

I am starting to experiment with grapeseed oil. I have used it on shrimp so far and it is delicious.

Grapeseed oil?? The last thing I used with grapeseed oil in it was hand lotion. I'll have to look into that.

Hmm... Now that sounds odd. But heck, if it tastes good give it a shot!
