A newbie here...found your site trying to search out info on a possible purchase of a Nexgrill 3 burner unit. Not a whole lot of info, and I can't seem to find an actual WEB page for their company...anyhoo, that's how I came to find this site.
I saw somewhere in here a discussion on NEXGRILL but went to register and lost the discussion thread.
Some concerns I have in purchasing "another" gas grill...I'm on my third grill over the space of six year or so years.
I live in the NW have a nicely covered, large deck, and also use a protective cover to my past grills.
One of my biggest peeve's is the burners and grill maintenance.
With each purchase in the past I've had problems with finding burner replacements to fit that particular grill, and end up buying a universal replacement that rarely fits properly, and end up using twice as much propane than needed.
The grills themselves are a pain in the arse! I've went from chrome plated (cheap, I know) to porceline coated or cast iron and using a good wire brush to remove cooked food but still end up with a very unsuitable mess that leaves me tearing apart the whole thing trying to clean up drippings from the burner plates and grills so I won't get nasty flare ups that end up burning the food.
One of the biggest enticers in looking at the NEXGRILL units is that the grill grids are stainless steel and there are burner covers over the three burners...I didn't notice a drip pan but assuming that's standard in their products.
I'm hoping to find anyone out there that has some experince of what to expect with this purchase. Should I buy replacement parts at the time of purchase or can I count on being able to find them and purchase the real McCoy a year or two down the road?
Is it easier to clean, and care for, or is that just part of the expected thing with gas grills? I have a steam cleaner that I'd like to use each time I use the grill but do I have to worry about moisture in the burner/igniter units?
For me this is a bigger investment on purchsing a grill but if it's going to truly be worth the extra bucks I'm willing to invest more...I've always been from the "You get what you pay for" schooling on most gadgets but have been burned buying more expensive and still end up with a mess down the road so I'm hoping your vast expertise will lead me in the right direction.
Thanks,
Mingo
