View Full Version : Shrimp Recipe for the Grill

BACON WRAPPED SHRIMP

1 lb. of raw cleaned and deveined shrimp (26-30 count)
1 bottle of Grey Poupon Italienne Vinaigrette Dressing or Wishbone Zesty Italian Dressing
1 lb. of MAPLE flavored bacon
Brown Sugar
Long wood skewers

Cut MAPLE flavored bacon strips in half. Wrap 1/2 strip around each shrimp. Slide bacon wrapped shrimp onto skewers. Place in a shallow dish. Sprinkle with brown sugar. Cover with Italian dressing. Refrigerate for 4 hrs. Any longer and the acid in the dressing will start cooking the shrimp. Grill til bacon crisps.

I did this same thing with chicken the other day! It turned out pretty good.

You are right! This is where I got the idea. I used Maple bacon though, and didn't marinade the chicken (I was in a hurry).

Try slipping a little piece of pepper jack between the bacon and shrimp. Yummy!
