I'm not sure if it's even still around, as it was certainly being threatened by invading new home constructions. But as of when I left, a year or so ago it was alive and kicking.
It's basically on the corner across from the Miccosukee Casino, down just a little ways.
The setting is extremely casual, mostly outdoors, which in the swamp is not necessarily a pleasant thing. However for some reason when you're eating the AWESOME pulled pork platter, in 95 degree heat with just a ceiling fan to cool you, it all comes together. It's very down home southern style BBQ, which is very rare in Miami.
They have two or three wood roasters going in the kitchen, with a constant rotesserie of ribs and chicken going. I mean you can smell this place from a mile away, and generally see the smoke pouring out of the top of it as well.
I'm not really much of a writer so I'll leave it at that, but if you're ever in Miami and you love BBQ you need to visit this place!
