Hi everyone!

For those of you who have Weber Genesis grills; How do you like the horizontal burners? Almost every other grill has vertical burners (burner knobs on front). I'm used to controlling the temps from side to side, and just wondered if horizontals were an annoyance, no big deal, or a godsend.

They work well. One of the benefits of them is they give you more grilling space across the entire surface of the grill and the heating zones stay relatively separate from each other because the overall surface is large enough. I have cooked on them using a rotisserie as well and the front and back seem to cook the meat well. On the newer models (Gold C), it sometimes even on low cooks faster than I would like, but ALWAYS does a good job. I will tell you, however, I like having six zones for cooking, smoking, etc. on the vertical burners and being able to put outside burners on MED with inside burners on LOW and cook that way. A bit more flexibility. On three burner models, I like the Weber setup MUCH more than the conventional way.
