does any one have one .and are you useing it on a wsm. if so what are your thoughts on it .i'm thinking of getting one.but just wanted to see what others thought first...

These work pretty well from what I've heard. Lots of folks over at www.virtualweberbullet.com use them. They even have a separate thread devoted to the guru.
I had one purchased specially for my WSM. I never used it, and sold it to a fellow WSMer. I'm in FL and with the weather we get, the Guru is overkill, IMO. The WSM is just too good at holding temps to worry about it.
Now don't get me wrong. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the Guru. Too many folks have one and like them for that.
You being in HI, I'd think you get even more moderate temps than I do. Check with the folks at the WSM site for better answers.

Lots of eggers use the Guru. To me it seems to be one of those things that you don't need, but is a cool to have. If I was going to get one it would definatly be the wireless version.
Adjusting the temp of the grill from my Lazy Boy is appealling... ;)

I love mine. If I still lived in Orlando, I doubt I'd have gotten one though.
