I have been researching grills for over a year trying to find a replacement for my old ducane. I have read all the comments on this and many other fourms and I just get more confused. I have my list down to the following Jenn Air 60,000, the Grand classic, and the New Vermont Casting VCS 5005 I would like your comments and recommendations. Thanks I also might add the closes Costco's Is 175 miles away' Thanks Again Bill

Hi Bill,
I was at Home Depot some weeks back and saw a Vermont Castings grill there. It was the first I had seen. I must say it really impressed me. I was comparing it to some of the Webers they had, and it was about $100 cheaper than the comperable Weber and had the burners running front to back, rather than side-to-side like the Weber.
Unfortunately I do not recall the model number, but if I was in the market for a comparable grill, I would give the VC a try.

Those vermont castings are pretty nice (and heavy to). I have to check out all the grills in every store I go into that has them. Wal mart has I believe an Igloo brand grill that looks pretty nice, seems like good quality and reasonable price. It even has brass burners.
I'm probably going to break down and buy the kenmore I have been thinking about for a year or so now. My wife refuses to let me rebuild my 9 year old charbroil again.
Good luck in your search.
