I've heard nothing but good things about Webber. I'm even going to get the 22" charcoal kettle you mention.

I love my 22" Weber and will never be without one. I am looking for a new grill and was considering the Summit Gold D but the price seems kind of steep to me. I know that it is a weber and they are great grills but I think there are similar quality grills out there for about $350-500 less. I have been looking at Kenmore and have talked to several owners who are hardcore grillers and they love them.
Let me know how you make out because it takes me forever to reach a decision. :)

Weber absolutely rocks! Customer Service is awesome.
I'm strickly a charcoal guy, but if I had a gasser it would be one of the Weber models for sure.
I have a Weber Smoky Mountain that is the most awesome cooking machine on the planet. I can put a couple of 8 lb. pork butts in there along with a big brisket flat and come back in 14 or 15 hours later and have some of the best BBQ you ever tasted. Show me another cooker that will hold a charcoal fire that long.
I do cheat a bit with a remote thermometer with an alarm so I don't have to stay up all night ;) .
I've got a Weber Platinum and Rotisserie unit on order right now for grilling.
Can't go wrong with Weber!

I really need to get me a wsm. Between my Brother and I we like to do alot of smoking. We seem to start around 2 in the afternoon, that gives us a good reason to stay up and drink beer all night wooo hooo.
