OMG Serge, how in the world to you even think about eating guinea much less actually eating it! I am sure there is a good story behind that, if so I'd love to hear it!

The most unusal thing I have ever eaten was vegemite in a cooking class I was taking in High School. It is an Austalian spread made from yeast, they eat it like jelly I think. But from what I recall I only took one bite of the sandwich I made with it and didn't finish the one bite I took!

I've also tried chitterlings 3 times cooked by 3 different people with the same results. Ewwwwwwwwwwwww! I do not understand how or why people would want to eat them. They smell like a dirty pig and that's putting it nicely!

I was in the Phillipines for a softball tournament and we hired these filipinos to take us out to this tiny island. We are heading out when we see these two navy f-18's playing grab a$$ with each other. It was awesome. Anyway, we get to this little island and the filipinos go snorkeling. Well one gets an octopus and they get a fire going and cook that sucker up. There we are on an uninhabited island in never never land eating octopus that was just caught. Primitive but memorable.

Our first night in Cusco, Peru, the ancient capital of Inca Empire.
We went out for dinner and ended up at the main square,
second floor, balcony carved of wood 250 years ago,
with a view of the Cathedral. There was a soccer match that night, the local team played Argentina in Buenos Aires, the HUGE TV screen was installed right in front of us, 100 yards away so we enjoyed watching football and the joy and disapointments of the crowd.

Earlier that day we were in the cathedral and saw the painting of Jesus having the gunea pig at the last supper with desciples. If Jesus could eat gunea pig,
what makes you believe we can't?

I forget what show it was, but I saw someone on a trip to Peru that ate some of the local fare...I don't remember much about it, but the one thing I do remember is there where little "pigs" running all over the place...

The original Paella's where made with rat...
