I tried this for the first time this week. I put some chicken thighs in a glass dish and poured 5 oz of Allegro Original marinade over the top. Into to fridge for 60 minutes, flipped over after 30 mins.

I cooked 'em on my smoker at 250* until they were 175* internal with some apple wood chunks for smoke. They could just as easily been grilled direct or indirect.

The chicken turned out excellent!

Allegro is based on soy sauce, so it is salty, but not unpleasant. I wouldn't advise a rub with salt if you marinate in Allegro.

I've tried thsi marinade and liked it as well. I think I bought a jug of it at Sams Club.

You should try the Yoshidas marinades as well! You will love them. I grew up on Yoshidas Teriyaki Marinade. My dad still uses it to this day!

I'll give Yoshida's a try. I'll have to see if Sam's has it as well. Funny, I don't think of Sam's when buying something like this. I'll have to re-adjust my thinkin'.

A coworker bragged about this stuff so I tried it and it is not for us. Marinated some steaks in it and all I could taste was the soy sauce. I didn't try it on chicken as she said it didn't taste well on chicken. I should have I guess but doubt I'll buy any more.

I do like Butcher Block Teriyaki marinade when I can find it.
