SnaPBBQ’s Berry Pepper BBQ Sauce

2 lemons
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 half inch thick onion slice
2 c Dr. Pepper
1 ½ c ketchup
¼ c Worcestershire sauce
2 T. A1 Steak Sauce
2 T. apple cider vinegar
1 ½ T. Louisiana Hot Sauce
½ T. Hickory salt
2 ½ tsp liquid smoke
1 tsp fresh ground black pepper

Later:
1 6 ½ oz jar of Berry Medley Texas Pepper Jelly
¼ c corn syrup, dark
¼ c brown sugar, dark

Cut one lemon in half and then cut a ¼ - ½ inch slice from one half. Squeeze the remaining lemon(s) juice into a 3 quart boiler. Put lemon slice, garlic, onion slice, Dr. Pepper, ketchup, Worcestershire, A1, hot sauce, vinegar, salt, liquid smoke, and black pepper into the boiler. Bring to a rolling boil and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let sit for 15 minutes. Strain sauce into another bowl/pot. Last, add Texas Pepper Jelly, corn syrup and brown sugar. Stir until sugar has dissolved. Leave it alone and refrigerate for 24 hours.
