This is so easy and the results wow our guests every time. I prefer charcoal but have done this using gas and it came out great.
Start the charcoal with all of the coals on one half of the grill. I cook with about a medium low temperature.
Season the Chicken parts with your favorite seasonings
I use thighs or legs with salt, pepper, onion powder & garlic powder
Once the charcoal is ready place the chicken on the grill opposite the heat (indirect cooking) with skin side up. Place the cover on and check about every ten minutes just in case you need to rotate parts away from the coals.
About the last 8-10 minutes you can baste with your favorite bbq sauce.
Cooking time varies from 30-40 minutes depending on your grill, temperature and size of meat.
Very simple but delicious.
*if using a gas grill, only turn one side of the burner on and cook on the other side.*
