Hi everyone

My wife got me a gas grill and we have been adding on all the toys to go with it. We got a wood chip smoke box for it and the last time i tried to use it I had it up on the grates indirect and got nary a bit of smoke out of it in 20 min at 350f . Do i need to put this thing directly on the burners or what ? I cant find any where else to put the thing, oh yeah i don't have any lava rocks with this unit just straight burners.

You need to put the smoker box directly over the heat, not on the indirect side. I turn the heat on high until i see some smoke, then I turn it to the desired level for cooking

This is a common mistake. I did the same thing.
