View Full Version : What do you guys do when waiting for your food to cook?
I usually drink beer, and stand by the patio door watching the BBQ(impatiently waiting if it's winter). If it's summer time I'll be found on the deck, or chasing my boy around in the back yard.
Normally I'm working on some other part of the meal. Or consuming an adult beverage :p

I ALWAYS have a drink of some sort in hand. Wine, Beer(heinekin) or soda (dr. pepper). I love to prepare full meals, so I am multitasking as much as I can.
During football season, if I'm not tailgating, I'm watching the game on the TV near my grill:-)

Depends on the method of cooking. If I have the smoker going then I usually putter around the yard or the shed looking for something to do. If I'm doing no-flip chicken then I probably am in and out of the house fixing the rest of the meal. If I'm doing steaks or boneless chicken breast then I am right by the grill with a frosty in hand.

Ryan, The joy of grilling is that you can sit out there, enjoy the smell and sound while drinking your favorite beverage.
I enjoy a few downtime minutes while grilling! I LOVE preparing meals on the grill, it's what makes me happy!
When you are inside watching TV, you can't control a flare up which could posibly ruin your meal!

I live about 5 miles away but I am on the final approach for runway 32 @ Ted Stevens/Anchorage International They use this runway when they have a stiff wind blowing out of the north other wise they use runway 6. So its not every day and they are not as noisy when they land. I work for an airlineand also live close to a lake wher many float planes are used

That sounds like fun! You'll have to post some pics and show us one day! If you need a place to store them online, just LMK.
