Man, that sounds good!
Baby Backs, Slaw, and Baked Beans here. Probably throw on some ABT's also.
It's been ages since I had strawberry rhubarb pie... I might have to look into that also. I'm lazy in that department, though. That'll come from Publix Bakery... :)

Well I made everything but the fruit kabobs. The fruit was cut up but we just had way too much food. Everyone loved the food but I will make a couple of adjustments to two of my recipes. I have to adjust the cooking time on the ribs as the meat fell off the bones and I would rather have it hang on just a little bit. The pulled pork was good but I need to adjust the mop sauce as it wasn't my best. All in all the food was good and the company was great.

I'm with you on the ribs. I like when you bite down on the ribs and can pull just what you want off the ribs with little resistance. It's no good if you go for a bit, and the rest of it falls all over your clothes!

I agree too... gotta have a little bit of tug, but then come off the bone clean. That's one reason I seldom foil my ribs. Some folks like that "fall off the bone" quality, but not me.
Speaking of foiling ribs, I did get a good tip last week for spares... Bill Cannon of www.texasbbqrub.com says to cook the spares as you normally would for about 3 hours, then put in foil along with some canned jalapenos (drain the liquid) and honey. Seal the foil up and put back on the pit (er, grill) for a couple of hours. Remove the foil and finish them for 30 mins or an hour. Of course, this was at 250, so you grillers should adjust accordingly.
I've gotta give that a try.

That sounds good.
I've gotten into the habit of finishing my ribs with direct heat and adding either sauce or some extra special finishing rub. This idea sounds pretty good too!
I've even put coconut on my ribs to finish them off! They didn't turn out half bad!
