I think Toad might have done a drive by posting!

Show us what you've got man!

Hello Fellas,

ok ok....for starters and since I know my boy Sharky is tipping the scales a hair more then I am, here is my favorite grilled fish recipe:

1 clove garlic, minced
6 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablesppon fresh lemon juice
1 tablesppon chopped fresh parsley
2 8oz filets ( I usually double the recipe and cook 4-6 filets of redfish, sheepshead, trout or whatever it is I have recently caught)
white wine to taste
dab or two of worcestershire sauce

mix ingredients and place in a big zip lock bag. add fish and marinade for couple hours in your frig turning occasionally.

fire up the grill and cook your fish. SAVE the marinade and apply while cooking. Cook fish until it can be easily flaked with a fork.

Enjoy!

Oh BTW....there is only one way to grill and that is with wood or charcoal. Gas is for the ladies ;)

I should have waited until this evening to reply.

Toad's Shrimp Splendor!

2 tablespoons chopped garlic
1/4 teaspoon red pepper (if you have some hair on your nuts I recommend 1/2teaspoon)
1 tablespoon oregano
pinch of black pepper
3 tablespoons parsley chopped fine
1/2 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons breadcrumbs

mix and add peeled shrimp
make a foil boat and poor everything into it and cook on the grill until shrimp are done. Try NOT to eat them all before you make it back to the house. Good stuff guys and gals!

These sound pretty good. I'll give them a shot and let you know what the wife thinks! She is the seafood critic of the house!

Would you guys say that any recipe that works for de-shelled shrimp will also work for shrimp still in the shell?

My guess would be yes.

I haven't tried it to confirm though.
Perhaps StPeteBBQ can answer this one for you

This is probably true, Grumpy... except that shrimp in the shell are pretty much finger food... Depends on what you're gonna do with it when you're done cooking.
