Labor Day Weekend Grilling

I couldn't be more excited about this weekend. It's my 32nd birthday and a 3 day weekend! This weekend will be filled with plenty of grilling - I'm tailgating for 3 separate football games!

I'm going to cook in themes, I think for the first tailgate I will be trying Guam BBQ- red Rice, Island chicken, finidene sauce and grilled veggies.

Not sure about the other 2 yet. I am still too excited for this awesome weekend!

Three tailgates over the weekend is pretty darn awesome. What games, course I'm a Nole fan myself.

Is your Island Chicken receipe like Huli Huli chicken???

Was in the Navy for many many years and visited PI often. Not sure of the real name of this meat on a stick but us on liberty called it "monkey". I have tailgated with it before and have a receipe if you desire.

I vary it with a little brown sugar or honey.


It is very similar to Huli Huli chicken.

Yes, please post the recipe in the recipe section for your "monkey chicken" lol. I bet it's pretty darned similar.

I'm actually heading to the Bucs game Friday night, USF opener on Saturday then running up to Tallahassee for the FSU/Miami game on monday;-)
