It seems like most of our regulars are off on summer vacation! It got me thinking... what would your ideal vacation be?

I think I would like to go to Chicago! They have tons of great food, great sites, and they are home of the Weber Restaurant!

I hear they have some mean steaks and other great grilled foods!
has anyone ever been there?

I would really love to go and spend a few weeks in the caribbean...St. Martin, St Thomas or somewhere like that, and just hang out. I have never been there, but I know I would love it. The problem is that I would not want to come home...and my wife hates the beach.

Im leaving for Nashville Sunday night via Chicago. We are flying to Chicago and driving to Nashville. I plan on going to the Weber restraunt on our return to the windy city. I used to live ther in my college years and I do remember the food, they have a real good Oktober fest too. I'll be lookin' for recipies on the trip and plan on eating breakfast @ the Cracker Barrel. I also might take a jaunt to the Jack Daniels Distilery in Lynchburg. We got friends to visit in the Nashville area and I've never been there. Im looking foward to the road trip and some new sights and tastes.

I would go to Kansas City and go from one bbq joint to another to another. It all starts at Arthur Bryants.... Oh wait I am doing that later in July... i guess it wont be a dream vacation much longer.

My ideal vacation would be visiting New York for a few days. I want to try all the great restraunts there..

Then I would make my way back to Europe (prague) and stay for a few weeks. I was there for a few days in 2001. Lots of great food and beer! Very cheap too!

I've been to hawaii several times.

I also lived on an island, Guam, for a total of 6 years when I was younger. Islands are a great place to visit and vacation, but not ideal for living, as a child at least! lol. Once you see the same thing 100 times it get's old! It's like living in Orlando all your life and everyone wanting to go to Disney.
