Robert's Meats

I was over in Tampa Saturday at Robert's Meats on Westshore.

All I can say is "Wow!".

Robert's is a meat market, deli, restaurant, caterer combination. They had two smokers going outside when I was there. And inside there was cooked chicken, smoked salmon, skirt steak, ribs, and almost anything else you could want.

I went to order some tri-tips, since he doesn't normally carry them. Nobody over here even knew what a tri-tip was. I guess it's not all that popular on the east coast. At least Robert knew what a tri-tip was and could get them.

Anyway, I would highly recommend a trip to Robert's for anyone in the Tampa Bay area.

Tip: Eat before you go there. You'll come home with more money.

I had some filet mignons from there and they were great!

I made the mistake of buying a day old rack of baby backs, they were pretty bad. I bought them because they had a rub on them already, I should have just rubbed them myself and bought the fresh ones.
