I have 400$ in home depot gift cards. I need to buy a new grill but not sure which one to get. I can't decide on the Weber Spirit® E-310™ or the Weber Genesis E-320. I would definitely get the Spirit if it had a side burner.
If I wait another month, I'll get another 100$ (american express reward points). Question, should I wait and get the Genesis? Also, should I wait for the fall/winter sales? Not sure if the webers ever go on sale.
Thanks,
Andy

Andy-
It seems as though the winter sales start in the north & move south. The further south you are the later (if ever) the sales start. In the northern parts of the country it seems that no one buys grills or smokers in the winter except us die-hard types. Keep an eye on the HD near you, count how many they have of what you want. When the count gets low, see if you can get the floor model at a better price. The floor model is already assembled, comes with the full warranty, and may have a few cosmetic dings. It's easier for them to store the ones in the cartons over the winter than it is the display model. Just my $0.02.

Thanks for the reply. I'm just waiting on my next $200 HD cards from American Express rewards. Should have them by the end of the month.
From all the reviews online, I am definitely going to get the Weber Genesis e-320. Can't wait to throw out my old charbroil.

Well, I got the Weber E-320 (http://www.flickr.com/photos/andyclement/sets/72157602099882783/) .
I love it. One of the doors didn't quite fit right so I called Weber and they are sending me out a new door with no questions asked.
Thanks,
Andy C

Did you talk H.D. into giving you a discount because of the door? That would be sweet, a discount from HD, then a new door from Weber :D. Anyway, nice lookin' unit & a good score.

There was one Weber in the store already put together that kinda had some dents in the door. Had I known how easy it was to have it replaced, I certainly would of asked off a certain amount on the pre-built Weber.
But, I really wanted one new in the box. There is nothing like putting something together yourself. I feel like it was done 'correctly' if I build it. I am sure the one in the store was put together properly, but who knows how many different people opened and closed the lid on that floor model.
Thanks for the great comments.
Now if I can just figure out what to do with the old grill. Its still on the deck. No stairs down and its two floors (daylight basement). I'm sure i'll have it removed by the next party.

Andy-
Post it on CraigsList for 'free'---someone will be right there, most likely :D
