View Full Version : Weber Q100 vs. Q200
In my search for a grill, I've decided that a Weber Q would be the most versatile grill for all my needs. I posted before about different grills but being a broke college student, I need something less expensive than a full size grill. I realize that I won't be able to grill indirectly but I honestly don't have the time anyways. I can always buy something larger down the road.
Here is what I'd need a grill for. I will mostly be cooking for myself and couldn't see cooking for more than 5 people. I'll also use the grill for tailgating and camping. So w/ that, would you recommend the Q100 or Q200? Are there any differences in the models besides the size?
Thanks again!
Nevermind, I got a little impulse and bought the Q200 w/ Stationary Cart. Amazon had the Q200 marked down to $149, so I went ahead and bought it. I will be sure to let everybody know how it works out whenever I get it here!

Outstanding Jared!!! Now get busy and post some food porn :) I'm curious how it cooks. I'm always looking for a better camping grill :)

Well my grill came in today. Only took a week to get here, not bad for free shipping and a better price than anywhere else in town. I'm happy I went with the Q200 for the extra size and the folding tables. It's the perfect size for me. I'm glad I didn't go any bigger also. It will fit just right on my deck and won't be a PITA whenever moving and such. I can also take it with me for camping and tailgating without it being too much of a hassle.
A little bad news is that it will be a little while longer until I can use it. I don't have enough room on the deck(temporary roommate) and I need to wait until my next paycheck so I can get a propane tank. It will be so nice to get started with a real grill. Here's a picture.

That looks awesome! Bet ya can't wait for a day on the links and then come home and grill up some goodies :) Congrats on a well thought out purchase. When you fire it up, (and I'm sure I speak for everyone on here), I wanna see food porn :)
