I have a condo and I'm looking for a small gas grill (probably 3-burner) for our patio. I've never owned a decent grill - the last one I had was no-name crap and the heat was horribly uneven. So I'm hoping to step up to a quality grill that won't break the bank. I've been looking at the Weber Spirit E-310 and also the Ducane Affinity 3200 or 3400. Any opinions on which is better or other suggestions? The Spirit has great reviews but I don't care much for the control placement. The Ducane models seem to have a lot more features for the same cost (the 3400 even includes a rotisserie), but I'm having trouble finding the Affinitys locally so I haven't seen one in person yet. I'm open to suggestions on other models if I can find them, but Weber definitely seems to rule the roost in my local stores.
Today I saw a Weber Q 300 in person for the first time. I've got to say it looked pretty nice - in fact the grate seemed much heavier and more substantial than the one on the Spirit, which surprised me. It's a two burner configured with one burner as an outer ring and the second a strip across the center. How much of a downgrade is this from a 3-burner grill?
Thanks!
